Projects of the main phase (2008-2013)

The main phase of the funding programme takes place during the period from 2008 to 2013. Bilateral projects working on concepts for sustainable urban development with focus on en-ergy- and climate efficiency. The mutual research work should demonstrate exemplary that cities in newly industrialising and developing countries could be integrated in the international climate regime by mitigation and adaptation strategies. Thematic fields of action are “Mobility and Transport”, “Building and Housing”, “Waste- and Environmental Management”, “Nutrition and Urban Agricul-ture”, “Urban Planning and Governance”, “Energy Supply and Consumption” as well as “Quality of Life”.
